PUNGA recently created an awesome pixel commercial for FOX Italy to promote their retro television lineup. Next step is turning this awesome artwork into an actual game.
Things like this reinforce just how beautiful pixel/sprite video games can truly be. Sure, they don’t have the polygons of most modern titles, but games like Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game or Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP clearly demonstrate that polygons are overrated. There’s just something about a being limited by a specify number of usable sprites in a limited amount of space that inspire artist to make some extremely creative choices.
