Let’s Get Retarded in Here! [ COMIC ]
Bonk’s Advetnure was one of the games that made you want to have a Turbo Grafx 16. For those of us that never got one, fortunately the game was later released on other platforms (NES, Gameboy, Super Nintendo). Ah the Turbo Grafx 16, I’d love to do a comic about my favorite game for the system… Keith Courage in Alpha Zone, but even though it was the title that came with the console its a little to obscure.
Oh and in the last panel, when Bonk says “Jimmy” you may be thinking of the character Jimmy from South Park… that’s part of the reference. The second part is from Quantum Leap when Dr. Sam Beckett leaps into the body of a mentally retarded man named, that’s right, Jimmy. Fun obscure reference that’s not needed to get the punchline, but just adds a little more “huh?” to the experience.
