You can thank Richard Stevens for this comic. His new Planet Lunch shirt with the head of Galactus on in had me thinking about said planet eater all day long. Wicked shirt though...

Speaking of planet eaters, I think I know why Unicron is such an angry robot. I'm thinking his name was originally supposed to be Unicorn. But a case of dyslexia reversed the "r" and the "o" in the name. Then he added a second horn to his head to make the mistake seem less obvious. But he only ever wanted one horn... just one. It's a theory...
